wont smoke em
I can get a bit of spin off the line but not a lot to make real smoke. The LSD does its job!!
I have also gotten mine to powerslide around corners a bit; but I backed right off cause the kids were in the back seat.
My 5yr old got a kick out of it too... ha ha ha...
I think the LSD breaks them free easier around the corners because it gets the one going before the LSD transfers power to the other wheel.
I have the 4.7 H.O. 3.92 LSD and if it didn't have the LSD I think it would burn them easily turning one wheel.
I never tried power-braking though... Hmmmm
The 265 70 16s on mine are some wide tires and that like plays a part in getting them to spin. especially spinning both of them!!

Ok last summer I had my 2 Buddys & my Son in the cab and a half barrel (full)in the bed of my truck. We were at red light & my Buddy said light-em up so I steped on the brake & mashed the peddle and Man smoke rolled out all over the intersection
I haven't done it since, but now I know my truck can & with some weight ta boot!!!

My 01 4X4 v8 LSD was easy to smoke...that was because the rear brakes were a bit inferior. Which made "power braking" easy. This new one (SLT 4X4 v8 LSD) is another story all together. Take a look at the outer diameter of the rear drums. They're just a tiny bit bigger and have MUCH more grab than my old one...By the way; jack yur truck up by the pumkin, put 'er in neutral and give a wheel a spin by hand. This style is as close as you can get to positive traction w/out buying a locker. Not only do both wheels turn evenly, but both black marks when you leave 'em are even as well...Unlike some other mfrs for example. Not all of them turn both wheels evenly. Some turn one first, then the other. This differential is VERY well built...Makes for a pretty good 4X4 experience as well. Good luck smokin' 'em.
