First off hello, I'm Dave! I'm new to this forum.

Secondly, I just picked up a brand new 05 model Dakota SLT Quad Cab this weekend. Flame Red, 4.7L, 4WD. Man o man what a truck. I was impressed from the moment I turned the key. Told the dealer i wanted to hit the roughest roads in town and he gave me the tour. Not a single pot hole really jared the truck. On a sad note, I traded in my 98 Ram 5.9 on the deal, but actually made money on the trade.

 

Nice color, I'm just going to assume it is only the 06 model year vehicles that come standard with the painted front bumper tho?

I have seen some 06s at the dealers and they all have body colored front bumpers... oh well tho.

I think you are right about the bumper color for '06 SLT's and Laramie's. I kinda dig the black bumper, it's a nice contrast to the flame red and chrome, though the red and chrome bumper looks more fluid.

I like the trim on the door panels. I plan to install some on my ST.

 

Are the trim pieces on the door factory, or aftermarket, and if so, who makes them? My QC is taking a beating in the parking lot.
