Datasave,
Is yours the single side swept or one of the duals? What engine do you have? Anyone with a 3.7 and gibson single side swept out there got nay remarks?

There is a very good sound from outside and when you have the windows rolled down. Not that bad inside the cabin unless you are at WOT. It doesn't sound weak like a Colorado or Tacoma, it has a more muscle like sound.

I am getting the Flowmaster 40 with 3 inch stainless steel tips installed on my 06 this friday....I can't wait to hear her rumble. I will let you all know about the interior noise afterwards!

I <3 this Gibson exhaust... I really do.. INSIDE noise is just about non existant... but sounds great at WOT (still inside noise is pretty low) and great outside.

Hold on to those resonators if it's to loud stick one back on.

one more positive vote here for the gibson. I just put on the 3" single system. No resonance at all sounds good & barely louder. Bolted right up no problem in no time too! It really sounds like it's the way to go, only a little over 300 bucks if you just get aluminized

The Gibson Sweptsideis what I'mleaning toward,on their site they claim it's thier most quite and best performing exhaust.I waswondering does it do away with the forward resonator?

i did a catback exhaust on my 05 dakota last year. Its a flowmaster single in dual out exhaust with a super 40 muffler. Sounds amazing. it is loud on the inside, as my back window rattles in the lower gears, but i love it. if your looking for something quite, definetely don't go with the super 40, but i have heard that the 40 deltaflows are a lot quiter. i have a clip of my truck here, http://videos.streetfire.net/video/6...7801412813.htm. Its a crappy clip taken on a digital camera and compressed to upload it but if you raise your speakers you can hear the nice sound. Its surprising, but these small 4.7L give a really nice, loud rumble and tone.

extdak-
I'm not sure does the sweptside come out behind like stock or in front of the rear tire? Mine is just the 3" that goes the same way as stock. It replaces everything from the y pipe back with 3" pipe and one muffler. HTH
