Ok, my mother has a 2001 Durango with the 4.7L v8. However, her's when you give it a little throttle you are right away at 30ish. Now my truck, it seems like it takes a while to get that fast. Her's is an automatic with AWD. But her's if you nail it, you go fast! And I mean FAST.... like I nailed it for a few seconds and was at 80mph. What is up here?

They are both the 4.7L v8s like I said, is there anything different among the engines???

 

Same engine and power, the trannys are very diffrent now, but alot better. Don't go by feel, cars can feel faster or slower then they really are. I say race the Durango and see what happens

 

As fun as that sounds, I doubt my mom would race me. :-P

And family is the only people that drive her car.... unless my dad......
