Well, it will for the first couple of weeks, because you are always on the pedal. But it flattened out to around 15mpg. It all depends on your driving habits.

 

Is the chip for an automatic or stick, and do you have a paypal account?

 

It really doesn't matter, only goes by engine size.

listen when you install the chip make sure the negative battery cable is disconnected. the chip goes in the second clip from the top of the pcm. move the red clip back and squeeze the plug to get it off. install chip first then plug. reconnect battery cable and start and stop your truck 3 times on the third start up keep truck running, this will allow the computer to actknowlege the upgrade . than take it out for a beatter run. may need to run 89/91 octane. i have the stage 2 and it works well
