After market driving lights?
When I bought my truck, they didn't have one with the factory driving lights mounted in the bumper. I figured I would just add them at a later date. I don't think it's going to be that easy though. I thought I would just have to pop out a filler plug, but it's all one molded piece on the outer plastic bumper cover. If I cut it out, it would have to be flush to the outer contour and there would be no 'tube' surrounding the bulb system.
I've viewed a number of add ons, but none of them say if I need a whole new bumper cover, or if these sleeves are included. Or if they're even needed.
With all of the Daks running around out there, I was wondering if anyone else has done this.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I am in the same situation where I want the factory lights installed to where I can use the factory light switch. Wasn't it nice of Dodge to not give the consumer a choice in buying a new bumper cover trying to perform plastic surgery on our current one? Bumper cover-$200, factory driving lights-$140, programing PCM to use the lights-$75. As you can see, it will be a while before I do this upgrade.
That's kind of dumb. If you are good with using a Dremel tool what I've done sometimes to my cars is used it to carve out certain things, and it will go right through that bumper to carve out that hole. The only problem is finding how to mount the lights. and how you want to wire them up.
IMO I would wait until you have the cash and get the factory parts. I'm sure there have to be a few in the junk yard by now some where in the country you can get the front bumper, mounts and light and just hook them up. The dealer should program them for free. My dealer did some programming for free, I just pull out the line for what I paid for this truck you can do a 3 minute programming for free. In the long run you will be much happier I think. Mine are factory so I vever measured the lights, somethimes it is hard to find lights to fit the hole correctly. I have to admit I like to just run my driving light at dusk w/o headlights, think it is a nice look.
i have the same bumper.
i was wondering if i could just cut out a hole where the fog lights are supposed to be...
if you look under and behind your front bumper, right where the fog lights should be, you can see a place where you can mount fog lights. should have like 4 small holes for screws/nuts/bolts...
not really sure if thats where u would mount them. and i've never mounted fog lights so not sure what kind of mounting hardware u would use

Have fun finding a bumper cover in the junkyard along with the lights in pristine condition. Most totalling wrecks are on the front end. But yeah I don't trust myself enough with a dremel to get a good factory cut out. As for the programming, not all dealers are the same and will do it for free. I was just telling him what I was quoted. The dealer would do the cutting also for me, but he wouldn't guarantee a great job, along with me buying the factory parts he quoted me $300 for cuting, installing lights and programing.
