Does AnyBody Know?
Does anybody know when more accessories are going to be available for the 05 dakota's, like projection head unit's and front air dam's, led tail light's or different style tail lights, why is takin so long for these accessories to be available, it's not like this truck is'nt popular, does anybody know any websites that provide accessories and why wont they make the silver star's for the new dakota.
I've put LED tail lights in my Dakota with load resistors in the front and back, light model 3157, with 32-LED halo revolution to make it 360 degrees of light, from VLEDs.com. "xx1479" in the Dakota forums will know where to get different tail light fixtures for the 05 dakota, and online at various stores (Google it) you can find chrome tail light bezels. You can also buy grills for the dakota at Putco.com, or do what I did and go on eBay, find a factory second and buy it for a DIRT cheap (I bought my grille, MSRP at $150, for $40). You're talking about Silver Stars, the lights right? Just look for Silver Stars in H13 or 9008 models. You can buy silver stars for the fog lights, which will either be model H10 or 9006, look at your lights to make sure. I heard rumors Monroe (i think) is coming out with good shocks towards the end of this year or the beginning of 07.
Projection headlights, well, I think we're going to have to wait on those, I'm a light fanatic so I'm looking for those, and I'm going to be contacting a few places see if anyone can make custom fixtures or will be willing to take it up as being the first ones to come out with the projections for the dakota.
Another idea, if you want good looking headlights, and have a bit of money to toil with, get an H13 H.I.D. conversion kit, 8000-10,000K color temp, those are beautiful headlights that as well increase your visibility GREATLY because of how bright they are; and they use less power, for example stock headlights may use 55w when HIDs only use 35w.

Hell, they can’t even see fit to install lighted visor vanity mirrors, left footrest, and glove box light, under hood light, door open courtesy lights. What happened to the Voltmeter and oil pressure gauge? All these thing where standard on my 95 SLT Dat. Dodge is regressing and shortchanging the Dakota. Just drop the line althgether and let it go out with some dignity.
