Default New 2006 owner--some questions

I just purchased a 2006 Dakota and I have a couple of questions:

Any tips on where to mount a Ham radio??----I have a Yaesu 2 meter Ham radio 6x7x7 and I usually mount it under the dash, but it does not appear to have any room to do it on the Dakota. Any tiops ot hints??

The center has a jump seat in it. If I removed it, is there a console I could put in??--maybe even mount the radio?

What do you people recommend on running boards for the 06 dakota "Club". I like the look of the Nerf Bars, but like the protection of the running boards, I think it would stop the salt /spray from going on the body in the CNY winters.

Thanks in advance!!! Stashu

i thought ham radios were set up in homes, cb are set up in vechicles. do you own a club cab, or quad cab? i have not seen running board for the 05/06 daks just the nerf ones. might be better if you remove the center console totaly an build something to your liking for the radio. you could use the consoles frame rails as the base

You are probably thinking of the old HAM radios. The new ones fit into a car/truck and do much more than the older ones. I have a club cab. Where is a good place to buy dakota parts??--running boards, mud flaps, etc.

THANKS!! Stash
