yeah i heard something about the bed covers not giving any better gas mileage from the mythbusters thing, but then again having one with the spoiler i think would help a bit. Anyqays I have a K&N intake on my truck and the first tank of gas I had with it, my mileage went up 3mpg, which was really nice since i'm payinf $65-$70 for gas each week. I have a flowmast which doesn't do anything except make it sound like a V8 should sound. Uhm, would anyone know if headers would increase mileage or just performance? Anything tha timproves performance i think would help a bit, headers to a true dual exhauist, high-flow air intake, just my guess and thoughts

cruiseing home last night on the highway 65/67 mph with the cruise on i ave. 21.7 according to my on board computer. temp outside was 62 degrees in ct. around town 18/19 with stop and go and heavy foot. i to am paying 65.00 a tank but getting close to 370.00 miles depending on my driving. have the full k/n fipk. black one, and i relocated my iat sensor. the fiberglass tonneau helped out a little 1.3/1.5 more miles. i tried useing different gas grades and noticed more gains with 91/93 octane than with 87/89, when i first bought the truck the mileage was around 15 now that its broken in i think i am at the most mileage i can achieve until superchips or hyperteck come out with a programmer.

From what I read depending on how you drive anything that bosts preformance can increase fuel econemy. An exception to that can be a programer, ex. if you up HP by dumping more fuel in you lose econ.
