most people start with the cold air intake, from either k/n or brute force. also check ebay under ebay motors for 2005/2006 dodge dakota there are about 300 items for sale but most of them are repeats from other suppliers. you can get some good deals on stuff if you do the homework. as far as installs and other mods keep checking the site or the other site is www. dodgetruckworld.com

If you don't have alot of cash laying around a good cheap mod is removing that big muffler and replacing it with a piece of exhaust tubing. If your handy with the tools probably want cost you $15 bucks to do it,probably around 50 or 60 for a muffler shop to do it.I suppose the exhaust on the 06 4.7 is similar to the 05, you have resonator or some people says its a third cat up front then a big muffler, then a resonator over the rear axle.I had the big muffler removed and replaced it with tubing, left everything else on,it sounds pretty good, interior noise not to bad at hwy speed.Get a lot of compliments on the sound and questions on what system I'm running.I don't know about doing this on a V6, they never seem to sound right when the exhaust is opened up.I hope you enjoy your new Dak.

Friendly advice to sexybrenty: if you are not female, do yourself a favor and change your screen name as suggested by moparkj to something more manly/masculine unless of course it's a "lifestyle thing" if you catch my drift.
