Default Just came back from beating the dog

I just took Fido aka Dak out for a hard ride up 95 here in FL. Pedal to the floor most of the time. WHAT A Fn DOG. Waste of good premium gas. If you all believe this is the way these 4.7HOs are suppose to run than the word performance has eluded yawl. The Trans shifts like a 1963 Chevy 2 speed powerglide or the real meaning of a slush box. The RPM fly up to fifty-five hundred and make lots of mild roar sounds but it has NO *****. Can’t get out of its own way. Embarrassing! It reminds me of the GM sixes that make allot of noise but when you look up to see what’s haling *** you laugh b/c its not going anywhere. This is sad. I was watching the tach and you can see it moving in steps with lag in-between each step of movement. Like it’s not firing right. The Trans. shifts hard from first to second (too hard) and from there it shifts like a Yogo on a bad day. Sloppy Sloppy Sloppy Theirs no way this is suppose to run like this, b/c if it is than like I said performance has lost it meaning. HO MY ***. Oh maybe I am mistaking. Maybe it’s a new version of the 4.7 MDS that runs on four cylinders all the time.

wow, my 05 4.7 hauls ***. coming off the line i leave 2 nice posi strips due to the corporate rear. it does shift very hard in all gears. getting up on the highway speeds is easy. the only draw back i have is the speed sensor kicks in at 118 mph. i want to get rid of this because dodge says the truck would reach 130 mph. all i have to do is barelly touch the gas on the highway to pass someone and it drops the gears and goes. maybe your truck needs to still be broken in .i have 23000 miles on mine and beat it everyday and it still begs for more.

I have 5200 on mine. Brake in has little to do with the way its running. Brake in wouldn't cause it to accelerate in laging steps. My 318 5.2 95 Dak would had blown the doors off of this dog and it was only 220 hp.

Why is it that one day you say that you like the Dakotas and you're just upset that you got a bad apple (which I completely understand being pissed about) and then the next day its all about how big a POS all the Dakotas are? I think its time to get rid of the Dak, it sounds like it would make life a lot better for you.

No the only thing I every said after owning it was I like the looks. I can't stand the quality or lack of. It is a major purchase that gone real bad and I don't have the time to deal with it. I can’t spend two days a week at the service department with morons. Get rid of it how? Trade it and lose allot of money since the Daks have real bad resale value or keep it and lose my mind.

My Dak hauls *** of course my previous 3 trucks 2 of them GMC Sierra R cabs and 03 Silverado e cab all had 4.3 V6s.The 1st two were great trucks drove the hell out of em,03 was a piece of crap.Thats why I'm in a Dak now and I'm pretty happy with it overall.sorry to hear about the problems , is it just a no performong dog or just doesn't meet you expectations?I hope you get it resolved one way or another.Pretty sure there's some good deals on Hemi Rams right now from what I've heard around the gas pump lately,if you're not soured on the Dodges.

i have no trouble breakin the tires loose. coming off a dead stop from a traffic light and away we go. *** end kicks to the side then it hooks and jerks you around a bit but it goes. coming off of driving a full size reg. cab ram with a 318. this truck would woopp it.
