Default Soundsystem, coming soon :-)

I just ordered a AMP and 10" sub from crutchfield. I also purchased a Duel headunit / reciever.

The reciever is a XDM6825 , made by duel
The amp is a Rockford Fosgate Punch P3001
And the sub is a Fosgate Punch Stage 2, 10" 4-ohm subwoofer

All together I spent a little over $450ish.

I have a sealed enclosure, but its a cheap walmart enclosure... which I dont think is even completely sealed, but I can do that myself.
Does anybody recommend me building a custom fit box? The fosgate 10" sub recommends a .56 cubic foot box for each sub, but Id like to build a box that fits right between the two folding backseats, facing the front. Im gonna mount the Amp on the hump directly under.

Does anybody have any recommendations?
Remember I have a clubcab, so the cab is obviously smaller than the quad, so I feel all I need is 1 10" sub. But Fosgate is also top quality, and I heard that little sub will move some air...

Here's what I'm running. The box measures 15Hx15Dx11W and fits perfectly between the rear seats. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah the box is pretty deep. The sub should fit just fine.
Flyhalf, I love the box. What materials u use? Fiberboard and carpeting? Thanks for the pics.

I used 3/4" MDF for the box. The port is 2" pvc and is roughly 3" long. The box is actually spray painted with a textured paint. It is supposed to be a stone finish and actually looks very professional up close. For a $8 paint job, I was very pleased with the end result. I used 2 pieces of the floormat stuff (blue on 1 side and padding on the other) to line the bottom and back of the box to protect the truck from rubbing and such.

I have the Alpine Sound Box 10" SUB that also has two tweets all in one semi translucent box from the factory. The amp is rated at 368 watts. I was wondering if there is a 10" sub made for the club cab that doesn’t kill the back seat center area. This Alpine Sound Box sits between the seats like the custom sub in this post. I was thinking of maybe in that space under the seats where the jack is and than porting the sound out on the left side where some people are installing a second trap door for storage. Remove the carpet just to work on the area and the top metal is cut out in away that it could be refitted back into place with custom brackets and screwed back down may allow for a custom molded enclosure to be dropped in with a 10 or 12 inch sub driver. The amp would also fit in there with cooling fans etc. I believe that space is large enough for this idea and the sub would no longer be intrusive. May be thinking bit outside of the box here but it just may work.

wow, that is a good idea. Unfortunately Im not willing...*yet* to do that to my backseat. But hey, if everything is the right dimention theres no reason it shouldnt work. Im pretty sure on ebay you can get sub molds for extended cab rams, and older year dakotas I believe. Check out crutchfield. I kinda want the box right in the center there, so I can still have passengers..kinda.
