Lowering the front of an 06?
Any new info on lowering? I thought Rory Fontana had something going with coilovers but can't find him. Anybody know how to reach him? A local spring shop told me they could re-arch my rear leafs but didn't want to mess with the front. I have the shackels on the back but want to go lower.
I've been looking for Fontana also, but they took his site down and he didn't respond to any of my e-mails when it was up. He mentioned something about cuttin his front springs but I wouldn't recommend that. Just hang in there, something will be out soon. Hopefully. I want to go lower in the front and the back, I too have the lowering shackles on. I live in Florida and almost everyone has their truck jacked up and its really starting to grow on me big time. I wish we could do both! Maybe I'll slap my current wheels on my Magnum and jack up the Dak.
AIM makes a adjustable coilover, they call it a adjustable strut, its complete unit shock and spring for 1 to 3 inch drop,a little pricey at $379,sombody was selling 2 inch drop springs for around $100, but I can't find them now.I want to go with the 2 inch drop springs on front, shackles and hangers on the rear for 4 inch.Aim has the shackles and hangers to.
The 2" springs that I saw were from Chassis Tech. It was a misprint. 97-05 with the same spring? They said it was wrong. AIM set up is adjustable, thats nice. You gotta pay to play. Nobody else has it!!
yea I saw the misprint on the Aim site for the drop springs,a company on eBay had some 2 inch drop springs for the 05,I emailed them and asked if they were for real, they said yea, that was several months ago.I ran a search for them nothing showing up,they had an eBay store but I found nothing and forgot their name,I think they were in the Dallas area.My luck they turn up missing when I'm ready to purchase.I thought they said they were made by DJM but nothing about em on the DJM site might have to give them a call.
