I'm going to say it's BS.....as that would automatically make ANY modification to your vehicle void your insurance

I would hope that better breathing (CAI and modified exhaust) would NOT be considered "engine modifications". I mean, come on! I could see how a "chip" could be construed as modifying the engine. I can see a lowering or obscene raising of suspension as a suspect modification. I will have to read my policy. hmmmm.

Well, I do hope its BS. Otherwise all those performance companies would go out of business. But it still makes me think.. Anyways it scares the **** outa me

Interesting. To be honest, I never really took the time to read my full policy other than the main coverage sheet. Today, after reading worrgames post, I did just that, from cover to cover, missing nothing. Nowhere is there anything stated or implied about modifications, whether performance,suspension, or appearancewise that would warrant termination of coverage. I should add however, that my coverage is not with any of the national carriers. I may be wrong, but don't you think the auto insurance carriers would notify their policyholders if this were so?
