2005/06 Rear shocks & Thanks
FYI -- Monroe rear shocks are now available thru Advance Auto in the East.
Monroe part number is 911277 at $68.99 each. Fronts will not be available until at least mid - 2007 as per Monroe
Thank you for all the responses on my quest for a AM/FM/Casette/CD for my 2005. I elected to purchase a combination Sanyo FXCD-550 from Crutchfield with an adapter plate to fill the hole that will accept any type of DIN style radio unit. It fit without any problem at all, accept the Dodge installed antenna fell apart in my hands when I removed it. Should anybody like to know the antenna lead in cable is two sections; one from mast to behind the RH lower kick panel, second from kick panel to radio. By the way the first cable is the "Industry Standard" (Motorola)bayonet type connector, not the funky Chrysler type connector. But I did have to replace the whole antenna as the highly qualified UNION workers had cross threaded the mast hold nut going thru the fender. I installed a Antenna Works Proline antenna model 44UT91 that is one piece from mast to radio. Antenna Proworks makes an adapter that will connect the 44UT91 to the Dodge radios, pn 40-CR20. The Sanyo gives a lot better sound quality. If you have ever taken out a factory radio and installed an aftermarket unit and then have rattles; the foam water pipe insulation for 3/4" pipes works great at keeping all the wires bundles and isolated. Just go to your favorite Lowe's/Home Depot and by a 6' length. Cut what length you need, place over the wires and wrap with electrial tapes to keep closed, really stops all rattles.

I had put the Monroe relfex shocks on my 02 Dak QC. They were quite an improvement over the stockers. My 02 had the factory tire and handling package, so my ride was already dramatically better than a std QC from 02.
good luck
good luck
after looking this over it seems im not the only one that has a Dakota that bobs up and down. i have 06 , tookit to dealer they checked for leak in shocks and said they r fine. i think i'll take em done to my buddies and test them.
i was reading the write up before the new daks came out and the test drivers for motorweek said the same thing frt end is a little spongy. i dont know if dodge is going to address this or just wait for a stiff shock and spring
