Pics At Bottom

well till tonight in the month and a half of owning my night runner the only mods i had done was

k&n filter
bug guard
rain guards

tonight i did more "mods" although they will only be noticable at night. i got

HID Silverstar High/Low Beams ($20 from autozone a bulb)
HID Silverstar Fog Lights ($20 from autozone a bulb)
HID Liscense Plate Bulbs ($4.50 per/pair from walmart)

the silverstar high/low and fog lights make it look so much better in the front and are so much brigher. as for the HID liscense plate bulbs, the make the back of the truck look a lot cleaner at night, honestly. they really light up the liscense plate and the "bright white" color looks so much better than the stock lights with that ugly yellow color from those clear bulbs.

part numbers are as follows:

H13ST - High/Low beam Silverstars
9145ST - Fog Light Silverstars
194 - liscense plate bulb by: Xenon / bulb color: Natural Color Glass Simulated HID White Beam

huge difference, their white, really white, they look a lot better than the yellow stock stuff and i can see so much better!
the whole liscense plate is actually lit up! and the pics were taken in a mildly lighted area, when in darker areas the liscense plate hid bulbs really light up the back a lot better

Call me crazy, but I don't think those are HID bulbs.

The lights look great. Of course actually HID is more than a lamp, it’s a system. Xenon gas is much like florescent in the way it works where it needs a starter ballast system. Though there are several conversions system kits that are quite expensive, but coming down in price. The real systems like on a BMW include not just lamps and ballast but lens and reflector to get the most from the HID lamp system. Projector HID systems also are active focus systems. Depending on the auto manufacture and what they are using. I believe true HID systems will make their way on more models each year as either an option or standard. The Dak may get them in about fifty years though.

the silverstars are hid, as for the liscense plate, i had a lot of light coming from my back so it doesnt look nearly as bright as it should, ill try to get a better pic of that one. either way, it made a big difference and im very happy.

I had them for my Neon, they are HID brightness. They are not HID. Trust me, look on their website. It says they are HID styled. But when I had em on my Neon, I had tons of people ask if they were HID.

True HID's have like a purple or bluish hue to them while coming at you, but when they are near you, they turn pure white. The silverstars are straight up white. ;-)

ok so they are HID "bright" but either way it looks a lot better and cleaner, as well as a lot brigher...i replaced pass side hi/low and fog and turned them on and compaired to driverside (still stock at the time) and there is a definate difference. good investment if your interested

I am waiting for my local store to get the silverstars, I'm not going to waste my money on a HID system. I have the xenon light in my BMW and they are awesome, plus the are active and move as the car does. Problem with xenon light is the lenses have to stay clean or the light refracts? all over. The BMW has the headlight pressure washers but makes a mess out of the hood so I only use it when I have to.

If you get the turn sig/park silver stars it will get rid of that amber reflection inside the headlight casing, but it will still flash amber. P/N# 3157AST
