Is There A Red Line Point On The Dakota!!!
How bad is it if you rev your rpm up to 4 or 5000 rpm when you try to punch it into the passing gear and it only is there for second's, and if there's is no red line point can a guy really damage a engine, well i'm sure if you drop it in 1st gear and go offroading then yeah, does anybody know why there is no red line point, i thought most vehicle's have that or is there a red line point on the manual dakota's.
they didnt put a redline on our trucks cuz theyre dumb. but we dont relly need it cuz we have a rev limiter which keeps us from overdoing it when passing/revving/offroading what have you. you dont relly need to look at the Tach' cuz it wont let you go into the danger zone if there was one.
make sense to everyone? cuz i pulled that outta my @$$

its true though, they dont put them on newer vehicles because of the rev limiter. It wont let you damage your engine by going past a certine rpm. I dont know what it is on the dakota, but on my turbo coupe it was 6250 rpms. I know that because I launched off of it quite a few times[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=gears.gif]
