Those are a lot better pics thanks...

They look great and now I want them even more!

So you think 295s would rub... That stinks but good to know just the same. [8D]

As for the drop I just prefer the front and rear to be level and with a bit less wheel well in the rear.
With the low profile tires it looks like the wheel well is even bigger in the rear.
The nose down rake looks ok with off road tires but the lowpros look out of proportion with so much space around them.
Maybe it's from seeing them on performance cars and the low look they normally have.

Any idea how to lower the rear to level with the front? I know they make a leveling kit but doesn't it lift the front to level it?

Anyways I really like your wheels and hope to get some myself. I even thought of getting the ones you have and painting a black pattern on them.
Not sure if that would work out to well...

I really like some of the black and silver wheels I've seen as though. Panther and Incubus have nice ones.

Anyways, Cool wheels and I like the look of your truck... Later

Thanks! One MAJOR reason I went with the factory wheels is because I didnt have to mess with any adapter plates and the offset is right. Also many of the aftermarket rims you have to use small lugnuts because of the tight holes and universal pattern they have. Many of them require a key to take off every lug. Theses rims I put on use my factory lug nuts and also I can use the factory lug wrench in case I get a flat. I currently manage a large 20 bay auto center and have to listen to the guys bitch all day about the hassle the 20+ aftermarket rims cause them all day. One thing the aftermarkets have is they are lighter, but also most likely bend easier.

I am going to do the drop after my house is completed 13 March.. I added a 3 car garage and putting a lift in, I am WAY EXCITED about that.

Congrats on the new home and garage...

I have been looking to do the same down the road. Well; adding on a garage with a lift that is. Nothing beats a lift for working on a car and maintaining it.
My father-in-law is considering building on my property next door and we have been talking about building a separate working garage with a lift.
I also want a two car attached with a new livingroom above it myself, but that would likley be a parking garage.

The reasons you mentioned for sticking with OEM wheelsare the same reasons I also consider them the best way to go (if you find OEM wheels you like of course).

Allkinds ofissues related to aftermarket can be a huge pain; the offset, finish peeling, cheap construction, strange center caps, special lugs with special tools to remove them etc...
One other big issue is that you can get a replacement wheel if you should damage one. Tryfinding an aftermarket replacement wheel a few years down the road.

I will likley end up with OEM Ram 20s myself if I can scrounge up the money.
I really like them and was checking out a Ram in a parking lot, when they first cam out, and was expecting them to be aftermarket.
I was thrilled to find out they are OEM and that they would fit my Dak...
Now I just have to decide which ones would be best; chrome, silver alloy, or black chrome ones from the night runners.

I have the stock silver alloy 16s that are nice looking also so I will likely want some that look different for summer.
My Dak is a Dark red Maroon called Molten Red... So I think a nice shiny chrome set would be bestwith some Hankook Ventus STs for summer tires.

I still wish I knew 100% if the 295/45/20s would work or not. I may just order one when I get my wheels and do a test fit.
The 295/45/20s are actually the same diameter or slightly smaller than my stock 265/70/16s around [30.5"] but the added width would be a consern.
30mm wider is around an inch and three sixteenths or so wider. but the rim is also wider and should bring the tire out from the hub (with the same backspacing). Hmmmm

Someone on a forum said their local dealer was putting takeoffs from the rams right onto dakotas on the lot and that was with the rams larger tires as well. So who knows?

Here in Upstate NY we have that nasty road salttodeal with and it does nothing good for any wheels either!
At least I have the stock Dak Alloys for the winter...I can put a set of tires onthem that are good in the snow and swap them with the 20s in the spring& fall.

Thanks again for the pics and info. Your truckis the first I've seen with the newer style ram wheels on a Dak...
I've seen some with the flower-power wheels from the older rams, but not the 2006+ style, so thanks again for the pics.
They make me want them even more!! Dare I say they helped me make up my mind? [8D]

Well, have a great Christmas and good luck with the new home. You seem to be doing well for yourself.
