I have a few 05 Dakota QC 4x4s in the fleet where I work. All but one have the centre console jammed. Is this a common problem with the 05's ? Is there an easy fix for this? Thx.

Mine does the same thing. I have given up on it.

 

Either take to the dealership and get it fixed cause it's under warranty or just take it apart and clean and lube it up cause i had the same problem until the dealership fixed it, apparently DC ran out of grease.

 

Get a phillips head and remove the 2 screws that hold the latch. It will probably come apart but is very easy to re-assemble Spray it down w/ some WD-40 and put it back together. Mine was jammed when I got it and works like a charm now. Good Luck
