Default Flowmaster Exhaust

Lets not develop any aggression issues here, I'm not a referee....hehe.............

I went to my local exhaust shop today and got a very reasonable quote on the cat-back duals I want. One thing he said puzzled me though, and I'd like some educated feedback on this. He said adding a second Super 40 and running them left and right would be a waste of money and that I would happy with the sound/performance if I split the pipes after the single in-dual out Super 40. I am supplying the muffler(s), and he will run them however I want.

What do you guys think. 2 FM S40 Mufflers split behind the Cat, or 1 FM S40 placed near the rear axle and split pipes to the *** end?

I just recently got the standard Flowmaster 40, cat back, single in dual out the rear and it sounds awesome! It has a very nice deep rumble at idle and will scream when I step on it (probably why my gas mileage sucks... oh well it is fun!) I get moderate interior resonance inside the cab at 1600-1800 rpms. I would imagine that having two of them would be incredibly loud, although I am not sure. I would suggest you get the rolled edge pipes out the back, they just look so much better. I wish I had gotten them instead. Just curious how much is he going to charge for that?

Actually, I have two, and it honestly quiet's it down quite a bit. One factor to this being, you have to run smaller piping, otherwise you will have no torque. So, I like the sound of mine, has the performance of a true dual, but the sound of mine is very similar to the HEMI, just about twice the volume.

Oh, and I have Delta Flow 50 Series..

I have the single 50 with the dual split and I love the sound. Depending on howloud you want it.....I didn't want it too loud but my neighbors say you can hear me down the street.

i have a single flowmaster super 40 single in dual out by the rear and it has a deep, aggressive, and loud tone to it. couldn't be happier. to give a loudness rating, well i have the sliding rear window and it rattles at about 1500-2000 RPM's mostly at the end of 1st and 2nd gear. i also recently changed my stock throttle body in addition to the CAI i had and when ur standing in the front of the truck and u rev it u get a rly nice sound from the air rushing. as close to sounding supercharged as i'll get, lol

i went with the single 3 inch catback and could not be happier, great low end grunt coming out of the whole and sounds great at wot hitting 118 mph on the highway. but if you go with the true duals you might want to invest in the x pipe to help out with power loss and gain. go to www.dodgetruckworld.com and look up autorama online. he has this system with pics.
