For real, anything mass produced should be cheap, they are selling these, like the are hand laid fiberglass hoods.. something they make a few of, then sell, and make more when needed.

Here's the shaker hood for the 3rd gens. Not too badly priced, but you'll need to get the conversion kit to make it functional.
