Default 3" body lift with Manual Tranny?

I was thinking of getting a 3" body lift kit for my 06, v6, 6-spd manual tranny dakota. I am hesitant to order though because I heard that with a standard tranny, you cant really do this. Is this true? Is there a kit that comes with some sort of adapter or extension that will let me on a manual truck? Or better yet, is there a cheap suspension lift solution that is in the $300 range like a body lift kit?

Thanks.

You either have to extend the shifter(s) (usually either a welded on addition or they supply a new one, unlikely).

Seriously just do it right and get a GOOD suspension lift. You'll be happier in the long run with it.
