Bigger balls than mine? New lowering kit.
I wanted to lower my brand new truck 2" in the front and 4" in the back but quickly found out that there are no off the shelf kits to do this with yet. I got a suggestion from the shop I had install my new exhaust at to try a place called Wheel Warehouse in Anaheim California "yes that’s where Mickey lives". When I called them they confirmed yet again that there is no kit yet for our 3G Dakotas but when I expected him to say good bye he said would you like to get a free lowering and help create the first kit for your type of truck? He went on to explain that there is a local company "Eibach" that sometimes takes new vehicles from owners and gives them a loan car for a week to design new kits for that model. In the end you get a free installed kit and your Dakota gets to be the prototype for all others to come.
I considered it hard but it's a 2 week old RT and I would rather pay the $600.00 or so for a proven system in 6 months than take any chances at all with my new baby. BUT I just know there must be someone out there from Southern California that would jump at the chance. He did say there are no guarantees but they have done this on numerous occasions for their customers that have vehicles with no kits. Could be worth a call if anyone is interested.
