haha no kidding...I kinda drove it nicely until I got used to it, then I started punching it between 3-4K RPM, and got an oil change at about 1,000 miles. i get my oil changed every 3K miles and all...just because I drive a lot...

I did quite a few heavy RPM runs when I was on the highway, figured, instead of letting it run at 2000RPMs the whole way, throwing it into 3rd or 4th and revving to about 5000 would help every now and again...

I believe in 500 mile breakin. As for oil change at 700 miles. dodge tech said it was not necessary.
This time I couldn't break it in for 500 miles. had 40 miles on it when I pulled a car 350miles one day then drove around for 100 there and drove back. had 850 miles when i got back was pulling a car for half of it. Never had a problem. 80mph no problem I asked dodge if I shouldn't take it or not they said go ahead.o So I did and im having NO issues so far. but if you do hey, thats what a warranty is for.

The way the engines are designed today it doesn't really matter. Heck if your rod bearings get scratched they even polish themselves back out as your drive...

Thanks for all the advice, i picked up the truck last night and already put 120 km on it. Mostly driving around the country side etc and a bit on the highway. This thing is great! it has been a long time since i drove a V8 as I have been relgated to compact cars for the past 10 years
