Yes it is. We also have a BCM which is the Body Control Module. Basically that works everything that doesn't have to do with the powertrain like automatic door locks/windows, chimes, courtesy lamps, instrument panel dimming, vehicle theft security system, windshield wipers / washers, radio, plus a few others.

Sorry, I don't know why I had to add all of that in but I did so deal with it!

We just got a bulletin here at work from Crimestopper. It applies to 2006 Dakota and Durangos There is a problem with static discharge on the dashes. A sudden static discharge with the dash can cause the lights to flash or turn on, the wipers to turn on, the windshield washer bottle to empty itself, and the cluster to stop working properly. We got it because dealers were blameing it on the remote starters. The recal involves resetting the gauge cluster.
yep, mine did most of that when I first got it last year. After several times to the dealer they were told by DC to replace the entire gauge cluster and everything has been perfectly fine ever since. Nice to know I was part of the solution as to how to resolve the problem.

I have a 2005 and my cluster has been doing this for the past 4 months, over 50 times. I've taken it in twice now, and they say they can't see a code when they do a computer test. So they won't fix it.. Very annoying. I actually thought it was my command start too.

I wonder if this could be a 2005 problem also?
