Default Need New Tires

I live in New england so i see snow 2-3 months of the year off and on, the rest of the time its dry. I dont want a beefy off road tire or anything, an everyday driver with good snow traction is cool with me, i dont like noisy tires either. How are the pirelli scopions? Michelins are so expensive but they are awesome. Any suggetions? i have a 2006 quad cab laramie magnum. Thanks

Can't think of any better tire than the BF Goodrich All Terrain TA. Might also try the General Grabber AT2. It's very similar to the BFG. Go to tirerack.com.

I personally love my BFG All Terrain T/A's. I had them on my last truck as well. I think it's the best all around performer whether it's off-road, snow, or dry pavement. They are a little pricey though.

I'd say what I have, but people laugh at me.

They are the number 2 rated A/T tire next to the Pirelli Scorpions though, and they act as they should be rated 1 or 2. :-)

That's all I'll say though.

When it was time for new skins on my old 01', I went with the Firestone Destination AT and loved them.
Great all around tire at a resonable price. They have a nice tread for off road yet are very smooth and quiet on the road. Great in the rain and snow and wore well.

My new truck has the BFG KOs and they are a fantastic tire also but a bit more money. I think the BFGs are a little heavier also which costs me a little in mpg, minimal though.
