Looks good. I like the way these trucks look with that amount of lift but I don't like the body lift kits. I'll just have to wait until a suspension lift comes out.

i think that lift looks GREAT!! what really are the disadvantages of a body lift versus a suspension lift? not to **** on the body lift but i always here bad things about them, however I think it looks awesome

i would prefer a suspension lift also, but this is mostly just for looks so it's not that big of a deal to me. ronnustwo, nothing is wrong with a body lift, but you don't really gain any offroad ability because your frame is just as low to the ground as stock. its more just for the look. also, one good thing with the body lift for this truck is that the bumpers are lifted also with brackets so you don't have that huge gap in between the bumper and bed like some.keith

Yeah, I don't have anything against body lifts I just don't want it on my truck because I would much rather have a suspension lift. I think my biggest problem with a body lift is that you can see the frame under the truck when it's lifted like that. However, you do gain a slight bit of off-road ability because you can fit larger tires under the truck. It's not much but if you get an inch taller tire then you get an extra half inch of clearance.

That doesn't sound too bad to me... I've heard people say in the past that by adding a body lift your seperating the body of the truck from the frame of your truck( which is obviously how it works), making it unsafe. I would totally rather have a suspension lift for all of the benefits, but if the body lift isn't as "dangerous" as I have heard in the past, then it might just be something I'm gonna look into, especially because it's cheaper. First thing, of course, is I'm going to get the 2" lift. that might be just enough for the look I'm going for.

Well, it isn't the safest way to lift a truck but if it is done right you shouldn't have any problems with it. I know a lot of people who have done body lifts and haven't had any problems with them after years of use. Just install it right and you'll be fine.

i agree about the frame showing. it irratates me too. there is a local fabrication shop that i want to have build me a set of step bars to help hide the frame some more.
