Parts came, intake finished
The Airaid JR (MIT tube and high flow filter) came today, here is the final product. It is still quiet when driving on the highway, however, when the foot hits the floor you know its there. Now if I can get the muffler done soon to complete the package.

yeh flying is in my blood and this album cover says it all....this is why I can't put a set of 50 cals in the front of my truck...lol (I have thought about it though)
I think it was around $110-115 shipped. You get the MIT tube and filter kit(part 300-765). If you look around at a few sites you can find them on sale or with free shipping. Total set up was less than $130.

The airbox mod could also be used with the Airaid Quick fit kit. I would get the one with the MIT also(part 300-175 , they run around $160 and airaid claims 9hp/10tq at wheels). I would then makeshielding to completly enclose the quick fit filter on the top and front. This would be a little extra work but you might get a few extra ponies out of it, not sure you would notice it during regular driving.
