Check Engine Light
hey, people do things they regret, but to each his own, live and learn, and so on. my first ride was given to me but i paid the insurance (17 yrs old) i played around did some dumb stuff but tried not to go overboard. got lucky; 30 now w no accidents. i have done dumb sht in a vehicle that i regret, though. My 06 dak is my first new ride and im going to take good care of it and beat on it a little. I plan on wheelin' it. I don't plan on redlining it. gonna try to have fun w/out going too fast, read: offroad it. speaking of redline, where is it? my tach just goes to 7 w/out any orange, yellow, or red, just a peg. just have to bounce it off the limiter i guess. i assume it has one.
I have a tendency to forget to shift sometimes.... and mine makes a really cool thumping noise...
I've only done it twice, both when I was on gravel. Lol..... oh well, theres a reason it's limited... ;-)

I am not going to say anything on teh topic of the engine light, but as far as driving a truck hard... How one person drives is one person business on private property. But as soon as that person enters a public road way, his driving becomes everyone elses business also...
I see it as this, if he wants to beat on his investment, let him. he like to go wheelin'. I like to listen to music race cars... to each his own.

And, no kid is working 30 hours a week while going to high school. Not a chance.
