truck's officially 1 wk old. Hauled max payload capacity today (1390lb). The truck probably had closer to 1500lb in the bed+ a cab full ofs--t and two passengers. 6 logs @200--300lb per. i live in wv (hold for laughter) and the hills on the interstate here would require warning and grade signs in other states (not to mention the turns). the 4.7was impressive, 6th gear 75-80mph the whole way. I lost 5mph on the steepest hill. Rear axle4 inches from bumpers.

that's awesome. i've done my share of driving down in WV. i had a rental GMC Savana 3500 passenger van that did much worse than what you're describing, and it was only loaded down with 11 people and all their luggage for a week. i was afraid i wasn't going to make it up a couple of those hills.

whereabouts are you in WV? i was down in Wyoming County...yeah, way the heck out there in coal country.

i actually live within a mile of the geographical center of wv in braxton co. literally, the middle of no where. i put a little more weight on her today, probably more like 1800lb. definately pushing it, suspension wise, but the 4.7 didn't complain a bit. My buddy has a chevy that he bought used w/ 40k on it, for more than i paid for mine new. i can tell it irks him a bit that my cheaper, smaller truck is as capable as his.wait till he sees it w/ a 2" lift and 31s or 32s

I just got done pulling my 79 chevy k-10 on 33's home, about 20 miles tomarrow its off to the woods with it about 50 miles or so, axle is about 3-4 inches from bump stops, it pulls it real good for a midsize, about as good as an f-150 would pull it. ill post pic tomarrow during the day

mine's done really well with whatever i've thrown at it so far. when i moved i'm guessing i had over 5000 lbs in the trailer.

i'm interested to see how it does this summer...i counsel at a kiddie camp where they produce a musical in a week....we take the trailer full of lighting and sound gear up and this is the first year since i've had the truck, so i'll probably do the tow. the last hill before we get into camp is an 11% grade over a mile or so. i'm interested to see how it does...i'm expecting no problems at all....
