Default body lift kit, handling

I have a 05 dakota quad cab and Im looking into a body lift kit. Its not for off-roading just for the looks cause I like the way they look lifted. Im not sure how much of a lift to put on it yet 2"-3", some weres in that range, but one of my concerns is after putting a lif kit on how would it effect the handling, if any? Has any one after putting abody lift kit on noticed any difference? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Usually $300 is the normal price for a trailmaster body lift kit for Automatic transmissions. I don't think the body lift kit should do anything to your handling, but a leveling kit would change the alignment. It would cost a lot to have the kit installed, probably in the $300-$400 range for installation, which would include installing the steering extension and possibly alignment if I'm incorrect about it messing with your wheels. I just have never heard anything negative about the handling abilities after installation.

Your better off doing a suspension lift. 2 reasons. If your looking to do 2", you can dot hat with spacers and blocks, about $85 for spacers, $25 for blocks, and get it all installed for a few labor hours. I have pics up on the forum now of my finished lift. Its far less work to install, and its actually functional, unlike the body lift.

For future reference, putting spacers and blocks in your existing suspension isn't really a suspension lift. You are simply putting additional stress on existing suspension parts. However, I agree, if you only want 2", use the spacers and blocks.
