looking JUST a bit further you might have seen this:

Chrysler
U.S. cars brought into Canada new will not be covered on either side of the border.

assuming i ever want the dealership to look at my car, it's best I buy it in Canada.

*edit* living in a border town, i already knew the fair market price for the car i was looking to buy was ~$38k, i was stuck paying $7k Canada tax,, nothing i can do about that.

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a 2012 Crew 3.6 AWD for my wife with leather and nav, but I'm having a pretty tough time getting a good deal. Best I've found is $1500 off MSRP + $1000 rebate. And they tried to hit me with title processing fees of $700 on top of that.

How much are you guys paying in processing / titling fees, if any? We're in NJ.

Thanks.

Just go through http://amexnetwork.zag.com or http://bankofamerica.zag.com and get a price from them and only work with participating dealerships. The price ZAG gives you includes destination fees, etc. A processing fee of $700 is absurd. The state of MD limits processing fees to $200.

I got mine in November in NJ (Flemington Dodge - highly recommended):

NJ Supplemental Titling Fee: $118
Registration: $396
Documentation: $197

Bought in late Dec. ....Its a loaded Awd Citadel(minus dvd) it stickered for 47500 and was able to get it for 40000. and minus our trade which was a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander(9700) we walked out financing 34000. This included all tax, tag, tiltle and whatever bs fee the dealer has. Not too bad causee the outlander had a104000 miles but was in excellent condition. The new Durango is awesome and looks good next to my challenger.

Hi all,

I am looking at 2012 Durango Crew V6 , AWD. The MSRP is $37758. I want to put a offer about $31000. But the dealer now only give me a price $32,330. Do you think it is a good deal? How should I negotiate with dealer? Thanks a lot.

I would go to truecar.com and input all the data and see where you stand based on that info. It is going to vary greatly based on where you are buying the vehicle.
