Default Tinting Taillights

I am going to tint my taillights tomorrow and need some advice from you guys. I have a dark charcoal pearl and I am going to tint the taillights, not black them out, just tint them. Probably darker than a smoked color but not black. My dilema is what to do with the reverse lights. Should I tape them off and leave them completely clear, tint them to smoke, or tint them to the same color as the taillights? Your advice and ideas is appreciated guys!

Tint them to match, but put in LED lights so that they can still pierce the tint.

Thanks for the overwhelming response! LOL... I dont want to mess too much with LED's because then you have to wire in resistors and all to trick the computer so it stops telling you the lights are burned out. I decided to go with just tinting the brake and turn signals and leaving the reverse all clear... I like the look a lot will post pics later... Anyone know how to get these things to shine like they were brand new? I put on several coats of clear coat on it while wet sanding in between each and then put a plastic polish on it and for some reason I cannot get them to shine! Its bugging me a bit...

what did you use to tint them? What did you use for clear?

the Night Shades stuff is not very good and does not hold up very long
I spray them with a Dupont product made for tinting lights

here is how my C5 Corvette turned out

I did mine with night shades and then buffed them real good, then used polish sealer on them then a good coat of carnuba wax and they look super with a better gloss than when they where clear and by the way keep the backup lights clear or you will not see much behind ya at night.. plus they look great..

I used the nightshades and then Dupont Clearcoat on top of them... I put several coats of clear on them and tried to get them to get shining again but couldnt. Here are some pics of them. I am happy with the way they turned out I just want them to shine again... It wont let me upload so here are the links...

Here are some Daytime shots of the taillights. Dont Mind the rear bumper where the hitch is. I know it is missing a bezel... That headache is almost fixed lol

Looks pretty good, you may want to redo the right light though because if you haven't notice there's a nice size gap you missed at the top of the light where you can still see red. Maybe I'm a little more OCD, but if I'm gonna put something on a new SUV I would definitely make sure it was on right.
