Default Replacement Fog Lamp Bulbs

I want to replace my Headlamps and Fogs with HID bulbs and ballasts but cant seem to find a matching bulb number. The owners manual said the part number is PSX24W and the slyvania website that I usually use says 2504. I do not see any of these bulb types on the DDMTUNING website. Can someone tell me a comparable number? Like an H# or 900_ number?

For the time being, I believe you are out of luck. Chrysler went with a proprietary fog light bulb, either for space reasons (doubt it) or to have one more item that requires a dealer to sell you.

That figures... Looking on some other forums like the charger forums and all the 2010 chargers had the same bulb and most of them used an H16 bulb with slight modification to the fitment tabs... I may have to try this I guess....

Why not just get a whiter/bluer bulb? If you are interested in looks that will take care of it. If you think you're going to get better visibility, think again. I've had cars with both, and find no appreciable difference. When it's really dark you still need your high beams, and they are never HIDs because they have to turn on faster.

I have HIDs on both my motorcycle and my tC and love them... Dont know how you dont see a difference but that is your own personal opinion.

I used h16 18 led bulbs from ebay and just trimmed up the plastic pieces that did not match up with an exacto knife

I would like to convert my headlights to HID as well but I am waiting for someone else to dive into that and then find out what works. The led fogs did not cause any notifications in the console and I have read that the ebay HID's come with a relay to prevent flickering and notifications but I am still hesitant.

Oh I definitely see the difference, the color is different, but not the forward visibility.

My last car also had swiveling headlights. I could notice a big difference when I turned that feature on/off. But now that my car doesn't have it, again the impact is about zero.

That is your opinion but I'm with cbrrider012 forward visibility is quite an improvement and noticeable over the standard halogens...HID lights are much brighter and typically provide 3000 lumens while the standard Halogen provides 1400 lumens (Lumens - which is a unit of measure calculated to give the perceived power of emitted light.)

So with that...HID gives the driver over a 100% more usable light penetration and illumination on night time driving.

Actually most halogens today produce in the neighborhood of 2000 lumens which means you have about a 50% increase in total light output (lumens). But when it comes to how well you can see, what's more important than lumens is candlepower. Candlepower is a function of the construction of the bulb, the reflector, and the lense. If you just stick any old HID in a system that it was not designed for, you quite easily might get worse visibility. But you will still get a whiter/bluer light ;-)
