Default Should I have a tow/haul button??

Hey all,

I asked the service rep and the salesman and they weren't sure...

'11 Durango Crew AWD V6 with factory tow pkg. I DO NOT have a tow/haul button as pictured in the owner's manual. Any other V6'ers out there have it??

Thanks!

The **** only comes on Hemi models and it switches the transfer case into low or high. The pentastar models do not have a **** for that lower speed.

Tow/Haul has nothing to do with the transfer case. It simply locks out Overdrive so you don't burn your transmission out when carrying or pulling gobs of weight while towing.

nearly correct, it is on the Hemi and keeps the in gear longer effectively to prevent overheating when hauling. The "manual" shift (Left and right movement of the auto stick) prevents the engine from changing up beyond the gear chosen. i.e. putting it third gear will allow the engine to change up and down 1,2,3 but not 4,5. This would be the solution if you haul and do not have a tow/haul button on a V6. As per owner manual. (Available for down load from Dodge.com and available on iPhone in a shorter format.)

Still has nothing to do with the transfer case, so completely correct.
