Hi Dodgecares,

I have had this software update done twice within the last year. The first time it fixed my problem for about 4-5 months and then the symptoms came back. I had it done again in January and the symptoms came back after a month. Any suggestions?

Has the dealership performed the steering column intermediate shaft replacement in addition to the software update, bigvin21?

In that case, I would have a dealership perform TSB 19-004-11. It addresses a similar symptom in a different manner, so maybe it will permanently do the trick for you.

I also have this issue in my 2012 RT. To me it seems like the AWD is locking then quickly releasing. It seems to do it more when the vehicle is hot and as previously indicated coming off the highway seems to play a major role in the vehicle acting up. I've had it in a couple times and is likely going back in the near future.
