I know my doors unlock, but I think they do it when killing the ignition, rather than when in park. But I could be wrong...

i am not noticing the doors unlock UNTIL i pull my door handle, then they all unlock. That can't be right??? when i put this truck in park shouldn't they all "pop" up?

I don't think it works that way.... They only "all unlock" when you open the door. Frankly I've never seen the "unlock in park" feature on any car.

all the recent GM's i've purchased have had that ('06 Trailblazer SS, '07 SRX, '08 Seirra, '09 Tahoe, '10 Yukon...Yes i have a sickness lol)

If that's what it is, that's fine just making sure mine is operating correctly..

I guess I haven't even looked at a GM car in a long time But if that's the case, I'm really glad this doesn't have it.......

So what advantage would doors unlocking when you put it in park over unlocking when you pull the door handle? Having kids I don't want them unlocked until I'm outside of the car.

Our old 2007 Camry would unlock when parked. Honestly, I didn't notice a difference between unlocking in park vs when driver door opening.

But something about the way the Durango's are doing it, I like more than when in park.

so my kids can get out when i stop somewhere they are going WITHOUT me having to unlock the doors. it was a nice feature, i will miss that. I believe Nissan has this as well? can't have it all right?

guess it all depends on how old they are? The child safety locks keep them locked down anyway (if that's what you need).

So what your saying is that your children who are old enough for them to go somewhere without you cannot open the door themselves, which also unlocks that door that is being opened?
