Default Changing Default Location for Weather

I have the 730 radio. The default location is Waukegan, Ill., which is near the dealer where I purchased (Gurnee).

I live close to Chicago and want the default location to be Chicago Metro. I can only make Chicago Metro a Favorite.

Any ideas on how to make Chicago Metro the default? It never seems to stick when I make the change. I always get Waukegan.

Thanks, in advance.

I have the 430N. Not sure about yours but I had to go into settings somewhere to enter my local area. Select the button that list the undesired local and change. Save your changes and check.....

Thanks. I think that's what I've done. I've resorted to having my desired location set as a favorite instead of the default. I will another look.

Do you have the 730 manual? If not Google it. You might have already done so but just throwing it out there. I know it can be frustrating trying to figure it out. I think most people still have the 430N but shouldn't be that much different. Wish I could be of more help....
