I might also want to clarify, that I have love and hate for both sides with this whole Palestine Israel conflict. I am a humanitarian. I believe in peace and that war is stupid, it will never get anyone anywhere. I have hate for both the Israeli Extremists that are killing the Palestinians and the Palestinian extremists who are killing Israelis. I have love for the people on both sides who wish to promote peace and co-operation by living side by side peacefully.

Haha actually I'm a Canadian (originally half Palestinian half Lebanese). I was born in Kuwait and during the Gulf war, my family and I left everything behind and went to Montreal. After 2-3 years there (I don't recall I was still very young) we moved to Toronto. We've been there for so many years, we became Canadians, moved up the corporate ladder there. I studied there at York University and came back here to Kuwait. ......
@JP...I was just curious coz' the way you write (i.e chap, colour) sounds like you're from the UK. Welcome to the forum! I was in the Mid East during my Air Force active duty days been to Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia... during the 1st Gulf War.

Haha yeah I have a lot of British influence in the way I write and speak. No accent though. I grew up with "british spelling" and "british terminology" because when I was young my father did a lot of business with the UK so I attended a lot of trips with him there.

Don't have a Canadian accent either haha though the "eh" tends to creep in every now and then.

I'm thinking of going for the blackberry pearl (navy blueish colour). What do you guys think? I'm slightly worried about the heat but I think that colour would probably cope better than the black.

BTW mad respect for you. Air Force alone must have been rigorous, let alone your services in the Mid East. As frustrated as I get with the Mid East sometimes, I love it here. It's got it's special unique flavour that makes it special to my heart. I love Canada but I'm preferring my stay here. Weird, huh? A lot of people think I'm crazy, but I just think I'm happy with where I am

My D3 is Blackberry Pearl, and it's no better when it comes to heating up than black, and that is in our 35C Canadian summers. Can't imagine how bad it would be in 40C+ desert heat.

BTW, a used 1999 996 can be had for between 25k & 40k (list), so not a stretch to afford it here.

Welcome to the forums.

I love my 996

Yeah used they're not so much of a stretch. Lovely ride to drive, absolutely fun. My father drives a 996 turbo, a beastly ride.

Ahh I guess I'll go with the white colour. Over here in the summer it sometimes gets over 50 degrees celcius! Do I guess it's out with the dark colours. I was thinking of the silverish colour but my current SUV (that I'm trying to sell so I can get this D3) is that colour. I'm kinda looking for a refreshing change so I guess white will do. I love the white colour on large SUVs. Not seen a white D3 citadel in person though so I'm not too sure how it'd look. Though if the pics on this board are anything to go by, they're wonderful!

(EDIT: Thank you all for the warm welcome)

The white looks great. It was my first color choice, but the dealer didn't have one when I went to buy (the closest white R/T optioned like I wanted was 200 miles away). I ended up with dark charcoal....which is fine....but the white looked better.

Same here. We wanted the white first. Last two were white (Ford Escape and Homda Pilot). But, the silver in Citadel trim is classy.

Default WeatherTech Bug & Stone Deflector

Has anyone installed a WeatherTech Bug & Stone Deflector? I'm having an issue with the design of mine.

Super excited. It seems to me that my luck in selling my old SUV is really picking up. That means I'm closer to getting my Durango. I have a buy who's interested, everything is settled from his car inspection test on my SUV to his interest. The only issue now is the price. He wants below my target price (I don't want to go below this price or else I can't get my DD). He is also asking below the average price and my SUV is still in great condition considering engine, chasis, gearbox etc. Only issue are some nicks on the interior).

He said he's going to call me tomorrow and let me know of his final decision on whether or not he wants to pick up my SUV. If he does, I should be able to grab my DD by next week! Can't wait! I think I've decided on white. Not so sure yet but so far I think white has taken the cake for me.
