Got first oil change today. Light when on just over 3500 miles. I thought service interval was every 8000 miles. While I know the interval is not exact, I wonder why the light came on so early.

Oil change at dealer was quick and easy. A great ride.

 

V6? i have 4500 on mine in 4 months and nothing yet?? at 6 months my dealer is scheduled to do mine (free lifetime).

 

V6. Maybe my wife has a lead foot. All else checked out fine.

 

what was your engine hours? like mine is 120 right now. most mileage came from florida trip.

 

I think it was 179 hours.

 

Maybe that's the reason then? anyone know any particulars surrounding what makes the light turn on? besides mileage and maybe time? is there a sensor for how dirty the oil is?
