Default Lockpick and add'l cameras feature

I saw mention of a front camera and even left/right turn signal cameras. Has anybody made use of this feature? Would lockpick really set the screen to the appropriate camera?

Or does it just make more inputs available and one must always touch the screen to get to that camera?

I was even thinking of installing a wireless camera on the back of the boat so that I could see behind the boat with one of the extra inputs.

Im not sure if the signal from the wireless camera would reach that far, but that would be damn cool. You would have to make sure it was in a water proof housing so when you back the trailer into the water it wouldn't get ruined, or you would have to remove it before you backed the trailer up. But still that would be pretty sweet!

Actually I would probably install an automotive reverse camera without lines up on the tower. So that is only about 12' further back. And then I wouldn't need to worry about water. I want to mount a screen on dash of the boat and use that instead of a mirror. But haven't found good cheap waterproof screens or a cheap enough gps/ff with video input yet.

Oh i thought you were talking about putting a camera on the trailer of the boat so that when your driving you could see behind the boat, like to see if someone is getting a little too close or when your backing up to make sure your going straight and nothing is behind you.

That's exactly what I want it for. So I can see what's behind the boat. But I think I'd get a better viewpoint looking down from up on the tower. Plus the camera would stay dry. As a plus, I could then tie that same camera to a screen on my boat dash and use that for watersports. I don't like my boat mirror, not wide angle enough and blocks the fwd view some.

One issue with the lockpick is I haven't really found clear online instructions as to how it works or what cameras, if any, it auto switches too. I think I still need to manually pick any of the alternate cameras.

Was bummed today. The durango already had a front mounted plate on it. Removed it hoping to find only two holes, but there were four and also one of the other screws had just dug into the bumper. So I guess I am stuck with the front license mount. Just need to find a nice novelty plate for my wife. At least now I have something to mount a front camera too.
