Yeah....you would be wrong. Yes the tire rating matters, but what do you think the tire is sitting on? Exactly. I bent a many of wheels because they weren't rated for the weight I was towing. All wheels have a weight rating molded into the back of the wheel, its a federal requirement. But go ahead and buy those viper wheels and the first time they break or bend when you strap on a 5000 pound boat and hit a pot hole, don't come here crying.

No crying here. I've had tons of aftermarket wheels and know the dangers. If I'm correct, and I believe I am the actual Viper wheels were forged. While these are factory reproductions made for Cherokee's I'm sure they meet weight specs. All I'll ever tow is a motorcycle or a jet ski. You do make a valid point though.

I like the 20" 5 spokes w/ black pockets that are optional on the SRT8 Challenger.

Checking out factory reproductions website at the srt10 repros in a staggered configuration and the site says that the 22x10's have a +50 offset.

Educate me if I'm wrong, but isn't the factory 20's +35 offset? Also, isn't the rule of offset is that if the number is higher, then the rim sticks out more? Thus, if the wheel is 1" wider in the rear, then wouldn't you want it to have a lower offset number in order to compensate?

I am asking purely to find out for myself, as I would love to see this r/t in a staggered configuration. This truck is yearning for it.

Also, if the front tires are 285/40/22 to fit the 22x9's then should the rear be 305/40/22 to fit the 22x10's and all be the same height?

Clearly I'm an amateur when it comes to the world of staggered. I'm sure the charger guys could answer these questions in a heartbeat right?!

I know this post is old, but you have it backwards. Higher offset means the wheel mounting surface is further away from the centerline of the wheel, which would make the wheel sit into the fender more. Lower offsets have the mounting surface closer to the center of the wheel and makes the wheel poke out more. Too high and the inside of the wheels could rub the struts or inner wheel well, or the wheels could just give the vehicle a wack looking stance, but you could use a spacer to correct it. Too low and the wheels can stick out too far or cause rubbing on the fenders when turning or hitting bumps. You'd either have to roll the fenders or use different wheels to fix this.
