Default How to Remove Door Sill Plate?

The sill plate on our brand new Durango needs to be replaced. The Dealer ordered a new one under warrantee. I am hoping to avoid a trip to the dealer, because it is such a hassle for me. (taking off work early, driving almost a hour, burning gas, etc.)

I was thinking of offering to swap it myself. I am sure it is not difficult, if I know the "trick". (where to pry on it, etc.)

Anybody ever remove one of these? (not sure I am using the right term, but it is the plate with Durango stamped in it, where you "step" into the vehicle).

Edit: it was very easy, the assembly can be pried straight up. Attached is photo of the underside.

Mine didnt come with them but im going to be ordering a set, the dealer told me and i also say on the mopar website that they are just held on with 3M adhesive. So i bet you just get out the hair dryer, heat it up and pull it off. Then take some goo gone and remove the excess then reapply the the new one

Oh yeah, . . I did not even think about it possibly being two-sided tape, but that makes sense.

Thanks for the quick reply!
