I posted this in October on another Forum, nobody has a clue there.

So that makes me think it is purely a mechanical function of the shock valving or what not. Here is what gets me, looking through the owners manual I find this in the maint section.

Cavity........Cartridge Fuse........Mini Fuse........Description
J01.............40 Amp Green.........................Air Suspension

A 40 amp fuse is a heck of a amper rating, right around the size an air compreesor/motor, or some type of pump would require. So I don't get it, how does it work, is it mechanical, or does it actually have a pump like the Jeep GC?

Seems to me they erroneously copied it from the Jeep GC manual.

Good timing. I just saw the Jeep GC tested on Fifth Gear. When they tested the off road portion they had a problem when switching it to "Rock Mode" where the whole car lifts. Since it needs to set itself in low mode they needed to place it in neutral when selecting this "Rock Mode".

They gave it good reviews on and off road and one complaint is a lack of 3rd row...so it bodes well for the durango.

Default rear load leveling shocks

Hi everybody... After researching about the Durango's Tow Package and stumbled across this forum, is it possible to install the rear load leveling shocks on a vehicle that does not have one.
I purchased a used 2011 Dodge Durango without a tow package but installed a trailer hitch. Also I'm contemplating installing load leveling shocks on my vehicle... is it possible. I called the parts department @ the dealership and they gave me the part # (68069843AF) which they claim is the rear leveling shocks on known vehicle that have one.
Any information can be useful… Thanks…

the load leveling shocks can be removed for non-load leveling. many of the 2011+ Grand Cherokee guys have done it to install the eibach springs. I dont see why it couldnt be reversed
