The 2011 Dodge Durango (which is what I have) and the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee use the same hooks and hardware. Cheap on ebay for a set under $200.00. I was looking for the chrome ones so they would accent my citadel trim. Just the chrome ones don't come as a kit and when you put one together or buy it as a rep replacement from jeep it costs over $350.00.

Very cool! I just purchased a new OEM set for $120 shipped. The 2 brackets alone are $85 a piece that have the durango Part number. There is a a chrome shop close to me that can chrome the hooks to accent.

Thanks

The stock ones on the D are a PITA to remove... I went to remove them when I had my front end apart installing lights. I removed the retaining bolts, but didn't see that the shaft has a big *** 1-1/4" nut on it... Needless to say they are still on until the weather breaks... lol

Of course they are. They are tow hooks meant for recovery/pulling. They should not be easy to remove or subject to coming loose under the vibrations of normal driving.

now if they are that hard to remove, i dread to see how hard they are to install. Its always easier taking apart then putting together.

Hey Jhochst, I ran into the same thing not too many months ago: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...tow-hooks.html
The good news is, they install just fine

Nice. The hooks arrive Thursday. Looks like I have a small project. Thanks for the link.

just installed the "jeep" tow hooks on my 2011 DD. Fit perfect. Took about 1 hour to install. I have the tow hook hole covers if anyone needs them. Just pay shipping. would need if you elect to remove tow hooks.
