Traded my 07 Cherokee SRT8 for a Citadel.. am I crazy?
Hey All,
New member here.. well as the title says, I traded my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in for a 2012 Citadel, AWD, Hemi, TOW package, 2nd Row Captains Chairs, DVD, in Mineral Gray w/ black leather.
Am I crazy? No seriously.. I loved my Jeep, even though I had a few problems for the first 20k miles. I absolutely loved the Durango when I drove it though. It's all relative I guess. After you have something for awhile, it can get old when you just want to "chill". The Jeep was getting up on Mileage and losing value fast over the next year, so I though I'd put it towards an upgrade. There's no way I was going to pay 60k for the new Cherokee SRT8. I paid the same for my 07 brand new as I did for the 2012 Citadel.
The Citadel is on order at the factory now and I can't wait to pick it up.
I guess the only second guess I am having, is should I have built an R/T and loaded it up with Citadel options? Or will the Citadel please me? I have to admit, I've had kids since I bought my SRT8, and was looking to "relax" a little more with my ride. Any thoughts? Any suggested mods to appease the performance anxiety?

I originally was going for an RT loaded but found out the Citadel had the ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel. I ended up getting a fully loaded Citadel w/all options. I wasnt a fan of the chrome grill (the honeycomb panels) so i will swap that out with a regular one with the black panels. I'm loving every mile of it. I'm actually pondering putting 2012 Cherokee SRT8 wheels on it. Those wheels are sweet!

I guess you will hav eto answer the question yourself as to whether you are crazy or not. It mostly comes down to the monochromatic look of the R/T vs. the chrome splashes of the Citadel. For me it was an easy choice. It was for my wife and her only requirement was "bright red", hence the R/T.
