I appreciate the thread. I considered buying a V6 for towing a race car but lots of folks advised against it. I wonder how the towing mileage of a v6 compares to a v8

Oh yeah, good point on the temps. Out side temp was 35 - 60
Oil and water temp were around 215 unless I was going down a long hill and it managed to find 5th gear. Trans was at 175 and never moved even with the 2nd gear extended hill climbs.

You can rest assured IndyDurango, the PowerStroke will be this trailers main tower.

I'm guessing the PowerStoke could pull the wheels off of it, no?!

I think the torque on those is mega.

Nice to know even a Ford has it's role in life.
