If my quick look into this is accurate, there seems to be a couple of possibilities:

1. there's an ambient light switch that apparently is responsible for activating/deactivating the headlamps when in 'Auto' mode to determine outdoor ambient light levels so that it will activate/deactivate the headlights.

2. There's an electrical kit for all the blue lighting around various points in the cockpit that you can really only appreciate at night (cup holders, window switches on the door, etc.) That kit can be found here

Again, my research was not thorough so there may be something else ambient light related on the D.

Hope it helps!

I think I'm referring to #2, but does the Citadale already come with this?

I did notice this and I thought it was a really cool thing, its around the doors in the cup holders in both of the front but not in the rear doors.

But the brochure made it sound like it was something else as an option.

Just about every Citadel comes fully loaded as it is the "luxury" version of the D. I would imagine it comes as an option for other models, likely the SXT/Crew. I haven't been able to find anything that alludes to an additional lighting feature on the Durango....hmmmm?

Well for those that do not have Citadale, its really cool in my opinion at night having the water botttle/maps area lit up in blue. :-)
