Dang, wish I had thought of that - keep it simple right... I even repainted mine. Someday I'll fish out the bolt or get a new one next time I stop at Lowes and finish the job.

@Rufio123 - thanks!

@12hemiawdcitidale - I planned on it but it took me so long modifying the bracket that I lost my helper (and camera holder). I'll get around to it and post another youtube link. Suffice to say with how loud it is inside the cabin, it's loud outside.

@MiamiRT - yes, there is a minor fitment issue. IMO nothing that should stop you from purchasing if you're so inclined.

If someone from volant ever reads my post my recommendation is simply to mold a small peg into the housing so it hooks into the available threaded hole on the power steering mount - no bracket is necessary IMO.

The D has a throttle limiter when in Park or Neutral so this was the best recording I could get with it in my driveway.

This made it so the air box on the Volant CAI rests snugly up against the bracke itself...no wiggle at all.

Additionally, I've sent photos of the issue to the folks at Volant and they are actively working to identify a suitable bracket to include in future install kits for the 3rd gen D.

Hope this helps...and I agree that this sounds really good. And, it only gets better!
I just did my install and ran into the same fitment issue. No matter how i adjusted the box or fluid reservoir, the bracket wont fit. MrSnowflake is correct, i ended up cutting the bracket in half on the longer side with my dremmel. Mounted it to the fluid reservoir only. The fit is nice and tight up against the airbox, no movement at all.
Thank you guys for informative comments on this thread!

By the way the fitment issue is so minor, it should not deter anyone from buying this product. Cut the bracket in half and it fits "snug as a bug", or go to the hardware store and I'm pretty sure you can find a similar sized bracket.

I think I just wasted an entire tank of gas this morning as I revved to WOT every chance I got. Sounds awesome.
