I was waiting on a local dealer since end of January to get a R/T AWD with Captian Chairs. They are rolling off the line right now...2 popped up in the search system this weekend and my dealership is going to get one from IOWA tomorrow for me. Fortunately, they were willing to drive 250 miles for me for this one which was built prior to the May price increase (The identical vehicle was also delivered to a dealership last Friday 40 miles away from me, but it was built this month and is $600 more...the base price increased and almost every option increased by $100!). One of the dealerships told me at this point, it's too late to order a 2012. Not sure if that is accurate or not.

Default I feel bad for Dodge Corp...

I ordered a custom R/T (spending close to $40k on an automobile) on 4/22. Dodge is BUSTING their buts to make an amazing car to compete in this **** poor car market. I went to 3 dealers before i ordered my new ride. DEALER #1: The first dealer HAD NO CLUE Captains Chairs were available (they even told me NO, IT IS NOT AVAILABLE). I then opened the glossy brochure (which was not cheap for Dodge to print and send to all the dealerships), turned to page 5 (showing A FULL 2 PAGE SPREAD IMAGE of a Durango with captains chairs)- That was as I was walking out the door shaking my head...
DEALER #2: The next dealership I left angry at how poor their idea was salesmanship was. Just aggressive 'ARE YOU BUYING?' approach...
DEALER #3- then finally the third dealership- I DIDNT CARE AT THAT POINT. I just wanted to order my car...Plus they give free oil changes for life every 3k miles (saving me from getting greasy and a nice bonus)...My sales guy had NO CLUE about Dodge.com/vots. I had to find out on my own about this site (THANKS BUBBA)...For weeks I have been calling and texting this sales person- he has has NO UPDATE FOR ME over these 4 weeks...as of last Thursday he said he had no update at all for me...I was thinking REALLY? NOTHING?!

Well, after I found out about Dodge.com/vots...I punched in my VIN and GUESS WHAT? They put it on a train TODAY to ship to the dealership. Its showing up on the 4th...I called the dealer this information and to be ready for it.

Dodge is busting their but to make an exceptional experience for us...and the typical dealership experience is CRUSHING all they are working for...

Sad for Dodge.

What three dealerships did you go to? You can pm me if you don't want to share publicly. Would like to know who to avoid when it comes time to get mine. Most dealers down here blow.

Place the info in the public domain. That is the only way stealships will get the hint that they need to improve their game. Chrysler has improved, Buyers insisted by purchasing elsewhere until they did. Now the distribution channel needs to improve as well.

I'll begin, albeit many miles north of where you are asking for. As for stealerships to avoid, Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Plainfield, IN is one you can add to the top of the list. Quality parts department, suck *** service department and typical sales BS in the retail department.

:::Take that Google and ram it right back at the stealership so maybe they will be concerned enough to find out why they burned their bridge... as if they care at all:::

They really should be investing some profits in dealer training. At the price point of the JGC and Durango Chrysler is attracting a lot of buyers that are used to a much more serene buying experience at high end dealerships. Going down to the Dodge dealership is like walking into the jungle -- it looks like a nice place at first but eventually something comes after you for a meal.
